OVERVIEW:

The Senior Software Specialist - Archibus position is responsible for developing software solutions based on the information provided by the Business Analyst team, following the software development lifecycle

This position requires a great depth of expertise and knowledge in the field of Archibus and FM systems. It is to support QF IT application team on their day-to-day operational tasks in managing CAFM Archibus application. It has more than 10 years of historical data. It's widely used in Qatar Foundation to support all entities, mainly facility management team. Archibus application is one of the key applications supported by QF IT.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must support Archibus application for all the implemented modules currently live in Qatar Foundation, like Building Operations, Workplace Services, Project Management, General Services, etc.
• Fix application and system problems, or any incident that disrupts the application service that business users depend on.
• Must be capable of handle and support both technical and functional part of Archibus application
• Must analyze, debug and provide solutions and fixes for application related incidents, problems and service requests on timely manner.
• Coordinate with QF IT application support team to develop, test and deliver the required changes.
• Coordinate with QF IT application team in design and development, testing and the implementation of new modules in Archibus system.
• Must support QFIT on deployment activities on changes and fixes
• Work with external stakeholders to develop and deploy upgrade/migration for existing system
• Evaluate documented resolutions, analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
• Assess user requirements through various meetings, service requests to provide proactive service
• Report, coordinate and assist QF IT application team members to determine appropriate application deliverable suited to application business.
• Administer all bui ding activities like development of data models, application codes, on-line support and planning related tests.
• Work with teams to manage system administration, web/application server administration and database server administration, maintaining up-to-date system documentation and managing code in a version-control system.
• Manage and ensure stability of Archibus system and maintain integrity of the contained data Organize and prioritize all escalated activities, inclusive of testing, project management and execution of system upgrades, Improvements and bug fixing.
• Provide guidance for all complex resolutions, revival, and root cause assessment.
• Analyze requirements, create technical specifications, and provide technical design recommendations for new and existing modules of Archibus system.
• Prepare documents, user guides and develop technical procedures.
• Must transfer knowledge to OF IT support staff on the required modules and processes Must be able to develop advance reporting in Archibus
• Ensure security and quality compliance
• Keep abreast of developments, trends, and issues in areas of responsibility Participate in team work and committees as needed.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of applied experience working on large scale projects in related field.
• Expertise in Archibus 22.1/24+, Archibus Framework, Archibus Smart Client, Business Rules, Workflows, Core Java, Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Java Web services and Archibus proprietary development Tools
• Data Conversion, Integration and Customization in Archibus Environment.
• Must have experience in implementation of Building Operations. Workplace Services, Project Management, Preventive Maintenance Work Order processes, Permit to Work, Space Planning and General Services.
• Advanced skill in developing web services using SOAP and REST. Good understanding of Web API.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings and BIM model including AutoCAD integration/ex tension with Archibus and REVIT is an added advantage.
• Atleast one implementation experience of Archibus application stack upgrade.
• Excellent in Archibus security framework with experience in LDAP and SSO Implementation. Experience in managing & administering Oracle database.
• Excellent knowledge In SQL, PL/SQL, SQL tuning. Experience In C# is an added advantage.
• Experience with database and system design concepts.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical fie d. Archibus Technical Certification preferred.
• Degree or equivalent depth of knowledge of a technical field (Professional vendor courses)
