Job description

A carpenter foreman supervises carpentry crews, manages daily on-site operations, and ensures that rough and finish woodwork projects meet safety, budget, and quality standards.

Crew Supervision: Assign daily tasks, manage manpower, and lead a team of carpenters and subcontractors.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and translate construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications into actionable work.

Quality & Progress Monitoring: Inspect completed work to minimize reworks, ensure accurate measurements, and maintain project schedules.

Safety Enforcement: Enforce site safety rules, conduct safety briefings, and ensure proper use of tools and protective equipment.

Resource Management: Order and track building materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily activities.

Communication: Act as the link between the crew, site engineers, project managers, and clients.

Skills

Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on carpentry and supervisory experience.

Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, framing, and millwork.

Leadership: Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and time-management skills.

Certifications: High school diploma, technical certificates, or formal carpentry certification
