Job Details

Technical Knowledge :

-Electrical LV systems: MDB, SMDB, DB, cabling, containment, earthing, lighting and power..

-ELV systems: Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Data/Telephone, BMS etc.

-Plumbing: Water supply, drainage, sewage and stormwater.

-HVAC systems: DX, VRF/VRV, chilled water, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation and exhaust.

-Fire Fighting: Sprinkler, hose reel, fire pump and associated systems.

-Testing & Commissioning.

-MEP coordination with architectural, structural and civil works.

-Builders' works associated with MEP.

-Reading IFC drawings, specifications and BOQ.

-Shop drawings and coordinated MEP drawings.

-Material submittals and technical datasheets.

-Method Statements and ITPs.

-RFIs and technical queries.

-As-built drawings and O&M manuals.


Software :

-AutoCAD – essential

-MS Office – essential

-Revit MEP – preferred


Qatar Authority Coordination :

Should understand and coordinate requirements involving, as applicable:

-KAHRAMAA — electricity and water

-Qatar Civil Defence / MOI — Fire & Life Safety

-Ashghal — where infrastructure/public works interfaces are involved

-Municipality/building permit requirements

-Telecom/service providers where applicable

Desired Candidate Profile

Education :

-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

-Engineering degree/certificates should be attested where required in Qatar.

-Registration with the relevant Qatar engineering/professional registration authority may be required depending on the project, consultant, position and contractual requirements. Ashghal project documentation, for example, has required project engineers to be professionally registered in Qatar.


Experience :

-Minimum 5–8 years total experience in building/construction MEP works.

Previous experience in villas, residential/commercial buildings, hotels or similar projects depending on your company scope.
