Role Purpose:


Provide direct clinical care, which encompasses musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and management of patients within the department.


Job Responsibilities: - (Including but not limited to):


  • Act independently, with advice of a Senior Physiotherapist to assess, analyze and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximize rehabilitation potential.
  • Advance treatment progression of patients with the advice of the Senior Physiotherapist as needed.
  • Independently manage a caseload of patients effectively and efficiently, utilizing the advice of a Senior Physiotherapist as needed.
  • Ability to examine and treat specific conditions across range of musculoskeletal situations at a proficient level
  • Provide moderate input into development of assessment and treatment protocols.
  • Contribute to evidence-based practice in the department at a proficient level (ex. Participate in protocol reviews).
  • Participate in physiotherapy and team in-service training to promote personal development
  • Agree on discharge planning of patients, with advice from the Senior Physiotherapist.
  • Maintain a proficient standard of ethical and professional behavior when treating and dealing with patients
  • Participate in the departmental personal development and performance review system to promote personal and service development.
  • Participate in clinical audit to support the physiotherapy service clinical governance strategy.
  • Liaise with Senior Physiotherapists to gain support and direction in management of their caseload.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.
  • Communicate and recommend relevant disciplines of staff to maximize patient care and promote multidisciplinary team working.
  • Maintain patient documentation, records and accurate statistical information to reflect care provided and meet professional standards.
  • Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.

Job Specific Skills: -


Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy or equivalent required. Master’s degree in physiotherapy is desired. Registered with home country Physiotherapy Association.             Evidence of recent Continued Professional development in Orthopaedic physiotherapy.


Minimum experience of 6-8 years in which 2-3 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.  Evidence of ability to manage musculoskeletal caseloads independently. Personal insight and reflection skills and being aware of own strengths and weaknesses. Musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills and knowledge Team Player. Good Communicator. High proficiency in English language is mandatory. Arabic will be a definitive advantage.
