Roles & Responsibilities
Routine Maintenance of DCS/SCADA/Networking and Control Systems and attend any pending faults as per Maintenance instructions.
Attending Standby calls from NWCC/Water Operation Control during office and out of office hours.
Conduct tests on the newly ordered Automation and control System (DCS/SCADA/Networking) Spares to verify their technical specifications
Receives safety documents from the engineer before start of job and clears the safety documents after satisfactory completion of work
Supervises the identification of faults in equipment, instruments and facilities
Advises on the use of necessary material, tools and requirements to correct faults
Inspects equipment, instruments and facilities after repair to ensure their working condition
Carries out regular maintenance checks on equipment and instruments.
Maintains accurate records of equipment condition and related history and Maintain records, logs, and maintenance reports.
Provide first‐line troubleshooting and escalate major issues to immediate supervisor/engineer.
Ensures completion of work on time and the proper use of tools and materials
Performs emergency response activities as required
Submits reports to supervisor highlighting damages and faults that are irreparable
Assists the supervisor in preparation of all data and reports for condition monitoring.
Performs administrative functions in support of work unit such as timekeeping, materials support, cost monitoring, and scheduling.
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Telecommunication Section are in‐line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations
Conducts commissioning and testing activities for the Automation and control System (DCS/SCADA/Networking)
Assist in reviewing technical documentation, as‐built drawings, P&ID, control logic, SCADA architecture.
Support integration of new equipment into existing Automation and control System (DCS/SCADA/Networking).
Desired Candidate Profile
General Requirements:
Holder will be responsible for Maintenance, Support and Fault attendance and rectification of DCS, SCADA, PLC, Networking and control systems.
Perform installation, wiring, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of DCS, SCADA & Networking Systems and field devices.
Work under the supervision of Tele‐control Engineers.
Comply with safety, cybersecurity, and utility regulations.
The role holder will be responsible for maintaining reports on all faults and repairs carried out, including Preventive Maintenance.
The role holder will ensure all equipment within his line of responsibility is operational and in good condition.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: Technical Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation / Computer Engineering.
Experience:
More than 6 years in a similar role, including 3+ years of relevant supervisory experience and hands‐on experience in DCS/SCADA/PLC/Networking systems. (preferably in Water Utilities).
Practical skills in PLC/RTU Panel wiring, I/O testing, loop checking and Experience with PLC/RTU/SCADA/DCS/Networking Systems troubleshooting and Knowledge of field instruments.
Knowledge of industrial protocols, cyber security Practices for OT Systems.
Knowledge in reading Instrument loop drawings, Electrical Hook up drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
Ability to work with different end users/teams, Project management and Problem‐solving efficiency.
Written and Spoken English is essential, Arabic is preferred.
