Roles & Responsibilities
- Support contractual negotiations for LNG carriers including charterparties, shipbuilding contracts, framework agreements, and agreements with third-party marine equipment suppliers; develop and maintain contract terms sheets, formulate offers, and evaluate counterparty counteroffers
- Monitor market trends in the LNG shipping, LNG spot, and shipbuilding markets, as well as LNG carrier second-hand sales and demolitions and assess impacts on market rates
- Analyze global LNG supply and demand and interpret its impact on LNG shipping and shipbuilding markets
- Work with Project technical team to assess evolving regulations and emerging technologies and their commercial impact on the Project; translate Project technical requirements into contractual terms
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Energy or Commercial Field.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in oil and/or gas transportation within an integrated shipping/oil/gas company. Demonstrated experience with economic analysis and commercial negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Strong commercial marine skills required.
- Marine technical and operational knowledge preferred.
- Good time management and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in tender preparation and evaluation
- Experienced in Contract negotiations
- Able to manage multiple workstreams at the same time
- Able to look ahead, think strategically while focusing on day-to-day delivery
- Knowledge of marine gas/oil industry bodies, National and International maritime and shipping regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping, LNG and/or oil markets is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, strong skills in report writing and presentations.
- Self-starter, able to plan and adapt own workload in the face of changing priorities whilst maintaining on time and accurate delivery
