The Barista is responsible for delivering refined and personalized caf experiences through exceptional beverage preparation and thoughtful guest engagement. Combining craftsmanship with warm hospitality, the role creates memorable moments by serving premium coffee, specialty beverages, and artisanal offerings to the highest luxury standards. The Barista demonstrates strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for service, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the elegance and sophistication synonymous with the Raffles and Fairmont brands. Working collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team, the role contributes to a welcoming and elevated dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve premium coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency and attention to detail
• Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized guest service in line with Raffles and Fairmont luxury hospitality standards
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee origins, brewing techniques, beverage menus, and product recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of coffee stations, equipment, and service areas at all times
• Ensure accurate order taking, billing, and POS transactions while maintaining efficiency during peak periods
• Anticipate guest preferences and respond promptly to inquiries and special requests with professionalism and care
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, replenishment, and product rotation procedures
• Adhere to hygiene, food safety, and health and safety standards in all operational practices
• Collaborate closely with restaurant and culinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while supporting operational excellence

Desired Candidate Profile

What will you bring to this role?

• Previous experience as a Barista or within a caf or luxury hospitality environment preferred
• Passion for coffee craftsmanship and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and beverage presentation standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and engaging personality
• Professional presentation and strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service excellence
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures preferred
• Strong understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are considered an asset
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
