Job description
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate rigging teams during lifting and hoisting operations.
Ensure compliance with OPITO Rigging Level III / Level IV (or EMTA / NVQ Level 3 equivalent) standards.
Review lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements prior to execution.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for rigging crews.
Inspect rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, cranes) to ensure certification and safe condition.
Monitor lifting operations to prevent unsafe acts and conditions.
Liaise with offshore supervisors, engineers, and HSE teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, equipment inspections, and crew competency.
Lead incident investigations related to lifting operations and recommend corrective actions.
RequirementsQualifications & Skills
Minimum competency: OPITO Rigging Level III / Level IV (or EMTA / NVQ Level 3 equivalent).
5+ years of offshore rigging/lifting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Personnel must be NOC approved.
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, offshore safety standards, and industry best practices.
Ability to read and interpret lifting plans and engineering drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining documentation.
