Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Medical Coder located in Doha, Qatar. The Certified Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, ensuring data accuracy for billing purposes, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation. The role will also require ensuring timely submission of claims to healthcare payers and identifying opportunities to improve coding accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Medical Coding and proficient knowledge of Coding systems Certification in RHIT or related areas, with strong knowledge of Health Information Management practices Thorough understanding of Medical Terminology and anatomy as they relate to coding Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, and commit to a full-time role Previous experience in hospital settings or insurance companies is an advantage Knowledge of regulatory compliance and billing procedures is a plus
