The Prime Developer is responsible for the design, configuration, development, testing, and support of the TSYS PRIME card management system within the Bank’s Cards Technology environment. The role ensures the stable, secure, and compliant operation of card processing platforms supporting Credit, Debit, and Corporate card products.
The Prime Developer works closely with Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into effective PRIME configurations, integrations, and enhancements. The role supports end-to-end card processing activities including authorization, transaction processing, billing, posting, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting.
The position also plays a key role in scheme compliance (Visa/Mastercard), system upgrades, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high system availability, operational efficiency, and adherence to bank policies, regulatory standards, and payment scheme mandates.
Prime Developer Developer Responsibilities :
Work with the Cards team to build and maintain the technical aspects of Services.
Develop new ad-hoc services around CMS platforms (TSYS PRIME4 JOB ADMIN and API, Prime Report Manager)
Testing/Implementation of Credit/Debit and Corporate Cards and Scheme Compliances
Assist in L2/L3 troubleshooting of Cards Services
Perform in SIT and assistance/problem resolution of UAT and pilot environment
Contribute to the overall Cards architecture
Work closely with Business, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Scheme teams to translate business requirements into technical PRIME configurations.
Support environment migrations and deployments across SIT, UAT, and Production, ensuring controlled releases and rollback readiness.
Ensure adherence to bank security, audit, and regulatory standards, including access controls, change management, and documentation.
Participate in DR drills, system upgrades, and PRIME version releases, validating functional and technical stability
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Science from a recognized and accredited university.
Oracle SQL Expert Certification (Advanced)
Oracle PL/SQL Expert Certification (Advanced)
Skills & Experience:
Oracle PL/SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL programming, including triggers, functions, procedures, packages, performance tuning, and exception handling.
Oracle SQL Expertise: Advanced SQL skills with strong experience in complex queries, joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and query optimization.
Database Management: Strong understanding of Oracle Database Management Systems (DBMS), including data modeling, indexing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
SQL Development: Expertise in querying, manipulating, and validating large volumes of transactional data in enterprise banking environments.
Performance Optimization: Experience in performance tuning of SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and attention to detail in coding and testing. Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems and code repository tools.
Provide support and troubleshooting for Prime TSYS applications in production environments, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Document technical designs, code, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the payments industry, and evaluate their potential impact on Prime TSYS development.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project timelines, priorities, and goals.
