Responsibilities
Welding Inspection: Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of welds to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain inspection reports, welding records, and non-conformance reports.
Compliance: Verify that welding procedures, qualifications, and consumables meet project and industry requirements.
Testing Oversight: Witness and review destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) results.
Quality Assurance: Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Coordination: Work closely with welding engineers, supervisors, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues.
Training & Guidance: Provide support and guidance to welders regarding best practices and compliance.



Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
Certification: Valid CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification.
Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or related field preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of welding inspection experience in oil & gas, construction, or heavy industry.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW), materials, and codes (AWS, ASME, ISO).
Inspection Tools: Proficiency in using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and NDT equipment.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
