Role Description The Operation Room Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for providing exemplary nursing care during surgical procedures. Key responsibilities include assisting surgeons in the operating room, ensuring the sterilization and readiness of surgical equipment, monitoring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate documentation of procedures. The nurse will play a vital role in pre-operative preparations, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications Proficiency in surgical nursing, patient care, and operating room protocols. Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and equipment handling. Strong monitoring, critical thinking, and decision-making skills focused on patient safety. Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with surgical staff. Licensed in nursing with relevant certifications in operating room procedures; prior experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
