We’re looking for a Head of Coffee & Beverages who is passionate about specialty coffee, creative in drink development, and skilled in leading teams to deliver consistency and excellence. This role bridges technical coffee knowledge, sensory expertise, and hospitality—ensuring every Halo location delivers an elevated coffee experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and oversee coffee and beverage quality across all branches, ensuring consistency and excellence • Develop and maintain recipes, standards, and SOPs for espresso, manual brewing methods (V60 and others), and other beverages • Collaborate with coffee roasters and suppliers on bean selection, sourcing, and quality control • Create and innovate seasonal beverage menus including hot and cold coffees, juices, mocktails, and signature drinks • Apply mixology and flavor-balancing knowledge to craft unique, modern beverage concepts • Train and mentor baristas, strengthening brewing techniques, service culture, and guest communication • Engage directly with guests, guiding them through flavor profiles, brewing styles, and Halo’s coffee philosophy • Ensure all coffee equipment is properly maintained and calibrated • Actively represent Halo within the Qatar coffee community through events, cuppings, and collaborations • Collaborate with management on menu innovation, operations, and team development
Who We’re Looking For • Deep passion for specialty coffee and sharing knowledge • Experience in beverage development or mixology • Proven leadership and hands-on training skills • Strong sensory, brewing, and quality control abilities • Creative mindset with an understanding of current coffee and beverage trends • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
