Job Summary:The Broadcast and Technology Manager will oversee all technical and operational aspects of a large media hub, including modular production studios and screening facilities. This role requires extensive television and media industry experience, along with strong leadership skills to manage the teams responsible for operating and maintaining the facility’s AV and broadcast systems.
Manage the maintenance and operational efficiency of all MCQ facilities, ensuring high quality standards, and lead the deployment of specialized media services, including post-production for licensees, tenants and external customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Media Facilities Management Lead and manage a team of broadcast, media, supporting daily studio and operations. Oversee the performance, configuration, and workflow integration of broadcast Direct the use and maintenance of infrastructure used in TV and media environments. Ensure all equipment systems across studios operate reliably and meet broadcast-quality standards. Collaborate with production, engineering, and post-production teams to support smooth broadcast and media workflows. Develop and enforce operational procedures, technical guidelines, and documentation for TV/media production environments. Plan and oversee technology upgrades, evaluate new broadcast technologies, and manage vendor relationships. Background in television, broadcast media, or live production is required. Strong understanding of professional broadcast systems, production workflows, and studio operations. Proven experience managing technical teams within a media, broadcast, or large AV facility. Ability to interpret complex technical requirements and guide teams in executing high-quality broadcast operations. Maintain compliance with industry standards for broadcast operations, media security, and safety. Manage the daily operations of all media city facilities, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained through coordination with external operators or the internal team. Coordinate the update of facility-related policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and seeking improvements to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction. Organize schedules for Media City's media facilities with input from the team, monitoring their usage and optimizing their efficiency. Manage the deployment of media-specific services, such as post-production services, according to developed policies, executing plans and managing internal and external resources. Collect feedback from the internal team and external operators of media facilities and services, identifying areas for improvement and recommending and implementing improvement activities. Assist in preparing quarterly and year-end performance reports for the Media Facilities Management Department, providing updates and recommendations to the ED/Director of Operations & Services.
Strategic Contribution Ensure effective cascading of the divisional strategy into sectional business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies.
People Management Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the assigned section by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize sectional performance. Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned section, collaborating with technical/discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
Budgeting & Financial Planning Manage the preparation and recommend the sectional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget, while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Manage and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned sectional activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices, considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting Ensure that all sectional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet MCQ requirements, policies and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management or similar discipline from a reputable university.
Minimum Experience:Minimum of 8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, of which at least 3 to 4 years are in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities.
