Job Purpose The Technical Architect will be responsible for safeguarding the end-to-end solution integrity across systems, data, integrations, security, and environments. The role will act as a key advisor to the KH IT–chaired Design Authority, providing technical assessments, impact analysis, and architectural governance to ensure all solutions meet the required non-functional requirements (NFRs), security posture, and integration standards. Key Responsibilities1. Design Authority Support Provide enterprise and technical architecture advisory input to the KH IT–chaired Design Authority (DA). Prepare options papers, impact assessments, and solution decisions for DA discussions. Maintain the Design Authority decision log and ensure all decisions are fully reflected in SI (System Integrator) design artefacts.2. Environment & Release Governance Define and maintain the environment strategy & calendar, including:Code drops Environments freezes Mock runs / rehearsals Release windows Ensure strong alignment between KH IT, Programme teams, and System Integrator regarding environment management.3. Integration & Data Ownership Oversee integration alignment and data mapping across systems to ensure consistency and reliability. Maintain the integration & data alignment register, including system interfaces, data ownership, and error-handling patterns.4. Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) Management Curate and update the NFR register, including performance, scalability, availability, backup/DR, observability, and monitoring requirements. Ensure NFRs are incorporated into the technical design and validated throughout the delivery lifecycle.5. Security & Segregation of Duties (SoD) Conduct security and SoD reviews, ensuring:Roles & responsibilities are properly defined Access privileges follow security guidelines Exceptions are documented and addressed Maintain the security and SoD actions/exception log.6. Solution Design Review Review Solution Design Documents (SDDs) from the KH IT perspective to ensure technical alignment, completeness, and adherence to architectural standards. Provide clear feedback and drive resolution of design gaps/blockers. Key Deliverables TA-01: Options & decision papers + maintained DA decision log TA-02: Environment strategy & release/rehearsal calendar TA-03: Integration & data alignment register TA-04: Security & SoD review pack (roles/duties matrix + exceptions log) TA-05: Updated NFR register (performance, availability, DR, monitoring) TA-06: KH IT review of System Integrator SDDsAcceptance Criteria DA minutes and decision log are fully updated with no outstanding design blockers for UAT entry. Environment calendar is approved by KH IT, Programme Leadership, and SI, with freeze rules clearly published. Integration and data alignment validated and signed off by KH IT. Out of Scope Authoring functional chapters of the Solution Design Document (SDD) — this is owned by the System Integrator. Qualifications & Experience (Suggested) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.8–12 years of experience in enterprise architecture, technical architecture, or solution design. Strong knowledge of integration patterns, NFRs, Dev Ops environments, security frameworks, and data architecture. Prior experience supporting Design Authority or governance boards in large transformation programmes. Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
