The role will provide support to the Typhoon Training Manager, undertaking a range of activities that supports the successful delivery of BAE Systems contractual Training responsibilities across the Typhoon Availability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), in Qatar.
This is a position for an experienced Senior Training Support Officer with a detailed understanding of the complete workings, systems, processes and procedures within an aerospace maintenance training environment. At this level the role holder will typically have experience in the management of a Learning Management System (LMS), experience dealing with exams/assessments and invigilation.
The role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.
Contracted Training Delivery:
- Undertakes a range of training support activities within a department to ensure the smooth running of the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF) Operation, including;
- Liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including: TTF Management, Instructors, Quality Assurance, IT staff, QEAF officers & students
- Management and setting up of the Electronic classrooms and appropriate training media including TVMT (Typhoon Virtual Maintenance Trainer)
- Liaising with the Air Service within the Typhoon Training Facility to ensure availability of the Avionics Part Task Trainer
- Create, manage and monitor documents to support governance requirements;
- Process documents and information received from a range of internal and customer sources;
- Management of Export Control assurance and compliance within the TTF, including regular reporting and liaison with the Export Control team.
- Identifying and undertaking initial investigations into discrepancies and shortages relating to products or services, this could involve statistical information or document control;
- Collating and extracting data and producing routine reports, schedules, summaries for presentation at the monthly Safety Compliance & Assurance Review;
- Management of the department documents and filing systems such that information can be readily retrieved.
- Management of the Typhoon Specialist Q Type examination / assessment days in accordance with regulatory framework procedures and processes, including preparing for each exam day, arranging invigilation of exams and dealing with any problems that arise during and/or after the examination / assessment.
Additional responsibilities / Activities:
- Internal and external meeting coordination and Customer Relationship management
- Ensure compliance with the mandated BAE Systems Governance Framework, including, but not limited to; Life Cycle Management (LCM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) – Incident Management (IM), Gifts & Hospitality (G&H), Responsible Document Record Management (RDRM), Export Control, SHE, et al.
Requirements
Functional Knowledge:
- Experience in a training support role within a business support function;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products;
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and helpful personality;
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload
- Experience working in a Training Organisation
- Experience working with a Learning Management System
