Job Summary:

The job holder shall play a key role in conducting economic analyses and providing evidence-based insights to support decision-making in the healthcare industry. The incumbent shall have a strong background in health economics, quantitative analysis, and healthcare policy. Health Economist shall be responsible for conducting cost-effectiveness analyses, evaluating healthcare interventions, assessing health outcomes, and contributing to health policy research. The job holder shall collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to inform strategic planning and policy development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct cost-effectiveness analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and cost-utility analyses to evaluate healthcare interventions, programs, and policies.

2. Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data, including health outcomes, healthcare utilization, costs, and patient-reported outcomes.

3. Develop econometric models and use statistical software to analyze healthcare datasets and identify key drivers of healthcare costs and outcomes.

4. Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and other stakeholders to design and implement health economic studies.

5. Assess the economic impact of healthcare policies, reimbursement models, and healthcare delivery systems.

6. Conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses to synthesize existing evidence on healthcare interventions and outcomes.

7. Prepare reports, research papers, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external audiences.

8. Stay updated on the latest developments in health economics, healthcare policy, and research methods.

9. Contribute to grant proposals, project management, and supervise research assistants or junior staff as needed.

10. Participate in professional conferences, workshops, and training to enhance knowledge and skills in health economics.

Required Education:

•Bachelor's degree in health economics/public health/health policy/health services research or related field. Master's economics preferred.

•Bachelor's degree in economics or other related, with the required experience in a health-related field.

Required Experience:

Min 6 years of relevant experience.
