The College of Engineering Technology invites applications for a post-doctoral position in the field of 3D printing for catalytic reaction systems. We are looking for a motivated individual with strong background in catalytic reaction systems. A combined experience with 3D printing technology is highly desirable.


Your Commitment


Report to the department head of chemical l engineering, the position is focused on the material selection, design and process development of 3D printed catalytic reaction systems for various applications. The successful candidate will be required to lead the research project, industrial collaborations and dissemination.


Preferable Research fields


  • Catalytic reaction systems for hydrogen production
  • Catalytic reaction systems for H2S removal
  • Catalytic reaction systems for air purifications


Preferable research experiences


  • 3D printed catalyst and catalyst's structures.
  • Catalyst and Support material election and integration (compatibility with 3D printing technology)
  • Catalyst and support material selection and integration (compatibility with 3D printing technology)
  • 3D printed reactor designs (intricate)
  • 3D multifunctional reactor design; reactor/heat exchanger coupling, separation coupling, mixing coupling, electrical coupling, etc)
  • Application driven reactor design/case and pilot studies


Qualifications


Education and Experience Requirements


PhD in chemical engineering, Chemistry, material science or related field obtained after 2020.


Fluency in written and spoken English is required


Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred


Skills


Skills in CAD, powder-bed fusion technology, powder-based metal AM, filament-based 3D printing, etc.


materials characterisation including spectroscopy and microscopy such as SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, FTRI, etc., are considered as merits.
