Construction Manager

Purpose

Incumbent is responsible to apply professional skills/ expertise to process day to day activities of Project, facilitate internal/external stakeholder communication, develop/deliver operational priorities in line with Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost Specifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective construction interface between the site, engineering and procurement groups
  • Responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of all site work activities
  • Ensure that the Interface Management Process is implemented correctly and that processes to support the construction schedule are implemented
  • Taking responsibility for the implementation of, ensuring compliance with, the Change Management and Risk Procedures
  • Taking responsibility in the liaison/ communication interface between the Client, Project, Engineering, Project Procurement and Sub-Contractor
  • Attend all Weekly/Monthly Progress Meetings and other meetings as maybe required from time to time
  • Review all Daily / Weekly / Monthly Progress Reports, Minutes of Meetings with all site teams and other parties, for submittal to all key representatives
  • Assist with QA Audits on Contractor’s / Sub-Contractor’s Construction Systems and Procedures
  • Perform all construction activities
  • Escalate and communicate work issues/concerns of engineering information, materials, other issues to up line Management and internal Project key personnel
  • Responsible for alerting the Project Construction Management of potential schedule risks and/or Cost Overruns. Implements corrective measures to eliminate potential risks/ cost overruns
  • Assist in the management, administration and training of personnel/systems /activities
  • Development and implementation of Construction Department Policies, standards, procedures and guideline.


Technical Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

  • Incumbent must demonstrate broad experience in Oil, Gas Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPC contractors. Middle East experience in similar companies is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of large size projects
  • Familiar with ASME, QE, General Standards (GS), design codes, standards, oil, gas industry construction practices and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of business application like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and HR Online applications.


Qualifications / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction field or related field
  • Knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Client General Standards, design codes, standards, oil and gas industry construction practices and safety standards


Minimum Years Of Relevant Experience

  • 20+ years of work experience in oil and gas construction field with minimum 10 years of work experience as Construction Manager.
