JOB TITLE - QC Coordinator
Accountabilities
The job holder is accountable for the following activities during project execution by Engineering & Construction Division:
To ensure the performance of the EPCIC Contractor, Subcontractors and Construction Yard, is achieving the Project Quality requirements during yard fabrication, construction and load-out/sea fastening works.
Provides the necessary back-up to Project QA/QC Engineer of COMPANY regarding contractual issues relating to Quality during execution phase.
Drive, monitor and liaise with relevant entities to ensure QA/QC related COMPANY rules, standards and procedures are implemented in the execution of the DBN PWM & AB OBS Project by the Contractor.
To Coordinate the Quality Control activities on the Construction yard with a strong support of Metallurgy, Welding and Non-destructive Testing.
To ensure application of NOC Technical Referential and relevant local and international codes.
To provide necessary information to Pre-Commissioning Team.
To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality,
To assist other technical disciplines in the implementation of Quality Requirements.
Direct, advice and coordinate with CONTRACTOR QC personnel, site QC Inspectors etc. to ensure all QC deliverables are obtained
ACTIVITIES
- To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities,
- To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
- To report regularly to his hierarchical superior and carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned,
- Coordinate the COMPANY dedicated DBN PWM & AB OBS Quality team, conduct necessary meeting, act as COMPANY Quality focal point in front of Contractor and Subcontractor at work site and offshore.
- Participate in the establishment and implementation of a suitable Audit Program to cover Contractor and Subcontractors main critical processes,
- To review and approved the Quality Documentation applicable to construction yard issue by the Contractor and Subcontractors,
- Review and approved the different inspection reports issued by the Contractor,
- To implement the QC activities based on the criticality assessment and surveillance level.
- Manage all Company quality inspections related to material, welding, NDT and coating/painting activities, both Onshore and Offshore.
- Ensure that material, welding, and NDT traceability system is maintained throughout the fabrication process,
- Ensure that there is no backlog for inspection performance, reporting and data base update,
- Ensure that construction verification activities by the Certifying Authority are in line with Contract requirement,
- Issue Non-Conformance reports or review Contractor Non-Conformance reports and validate dispositions. Intervene as necessary where warranted,
- Be the leader in the implementation of the change management process (DEV/TQ/CON) for QC and NDT,
- Participate in the weekly meeting and in the issuance of weekly report and KPIs,
- Review and validate manufacturing records books,
- At the end of the mission, issue Return of Experience (REX) report to capture feedback regarding QC issues met during Fabrication and Construction.
- Proactively identify any potential Quality failures and report to Lead as required.
- Carry out any other relevant duties or tasks that may be assigned by reporting line
- Qualification: Engineering Degree or experienced technician with HND/HNC and minimum of 15 years experiences in the oil and gas industry,
- Professional Experience : Around 10 years of experience associated with Quality Management in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, coordination of quality activities within Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Hook-up, Brown-Field, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up projects of offshore facilities (jacket/topsides) in the Oil and Gas Industry,
- The ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company and to demonstrate leadership. In addition, the candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations, and organizational skills.
- Certified to - Welding :- AWS SCWI, CSWIP Grade 3.2 or EWIP/IWIP-C or COMPANY approved equivalent. NDT :- ISO 9712, ASNT . Preferably Certified and Experienced in Coating Activities.
- Good reporting skills and use of Microsoft reporting tools.
- Knowledge of QHSE audit/inspection techniques and procedures with regards to construction yards and O&G facilities.
- Familiar with General Specifications, EDMS and relevant codes and standards,
- Language: Fluent English,
