Role Description
Coordinates the process of generating and managing digital models of places. The building information modeling coordinator must be well-educated in not only the industry in which they work, but in all disciplines generally as well.
In addition to creating, revising, and inputting building information models, the coordinator might also supervise other employees working with building information models. Therefore, it is essential they have the verbal and written communication skills to succeed in this position. Previous experience in a similar role is generally required or preferred. Additionally, BIM coordinators must work well in a group setting, as well as on their own with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of Experience with the same equivalent field.
- GCC Construction Standards Experienced.
- Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD. Good knowledge of Civil 3D is highly desired.
- Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures.
- Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Completed coursework in Construction, Architecture, or an equivalent combination of training and or work experience.
- BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology. Essential Educational Degree – College Degree
- Desired Educational Major – Engineering
- Languages – English is mandatory / Arabic is highly desired.
