Rotating Equipment Technician

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on various rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, and motors to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of rotating equipment to identify any potential issues or defects. This includes visual inspections, measurements, and testing of equipment components.
  • Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and diagnose problems with rotating equipment. Analyze equipment performance data and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine appropriate repair actions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Develop maintenance schedules, perform lubrication tasks, and replace worn-out parts as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while working on rotating equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed on rotating equipment. Generate reports detailing equipment status, maintenance findings, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and operations personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve equipment-related issues efficiently. Provide technical assistance and support during equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a rotating equipment technician in industrial settings, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment principles, maintenance techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations applicable to rotating equipment operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues effectively, supervisors, and clients.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
