NDT Technician

  • The NDT Technician will be responsible for performing non-destructive tests on the structural integrity and reliability of the company's assets. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations by detecting and reporting any potential flaws or defects.

Your Tasks

  • Conduct non-destructive testing using techniques such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, radiographic, and visual inspections.
  • Interpret test results and provide detailed reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to develop corrective action plans for identified issues.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained according to industry standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all testing procedures.
  • Assist in developing NDT standards and procedures for the company.

Your Profile

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical engineering.
  • Familiar with ASME Sect. IX
  • Familiar with ASME Sect. V
  • Should be able to communicate in English and should be able to write reports.
  • Should have knowledge and commitment towards safety.
  • Min of 5 years’ experience working in process plants as plant inspector and can read and understand P&IDs, Drawings etc
  • Should have at least five shutdown experience.
  • ASNT Level-2 in PT , MPI , UT and RT with specialization in at least one of the following fields
    • UT min level-2 in PCN or equivalent
    • IRIS/ ECT experience using MS5800 or equivalent equipment
    • Experience in taking replicas/preparing samples
