Employment: Full Time
  • The position is responsible and accountable for all Electrical and Instrumentation construction pertaining to the scope of EPC-3/4 activities at RLIC site through hand-over to the Commissioning and Completion Teams in accordance with the Completion Sequence.
  • This position is also responsible to provide management, guidance and coordination of multi-discipline COMPANY superintendents in the fields of Scaffolding, Coatings & Insulation, Lifting & Rigging, Piping, Civil and E&I.
  • This position is located at RLIC Site to supervise the execution of the fabrication and construction works, ensuring compliance with the approved construction sequence and a seamless transition with the pre-commissioning, then commissioning activities.
  • The position shall interact daily with its counterpart at EPC-3/4 Contractor on the premise that both COMPANY and EPC-3/4 Contractor have “mirror” organizations.
  • The position includes the review, comment and approval of construction related deliverables submitted by the EPC-3/4 Contractor.
  • Large, “one of a kind”; complex LNG Project with large construction scope, quantities and direct man-hours involved.
  • Working within complex permit to work systems, building and maintaining strong relationships with many interface parties.
  • “Start with end in mind” Project, with the necessity to achieve a smooth and flawless construction execution and transfer to the commissioning team.
  • Be inventive on construction execution and methods, bring experience from other large and complex projects, in particular LNG Plants.

Your Tasks

  • Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.
  • Assist EPC-3/4 Contractor in the coordination of activities between subcontractors and SIMOPS related activities.
  • Responsible and accountable to review, comment, and approve construction execution and related procedure specifications, and deliverables prepared by the EPC-3/4 CONTRACTOR. Leadership and “work as a team” behaviour and attitude towards EPC-3/4 CONTRACTOR as as its Subcontractors to achieve Project objectives
  • Visibility to the team, in particular, during the detailed design and engineering phase to influence on the technical decisions to better achieve flawless construction execution and transition to commissioning.
  • Work in a dynamic multiple locations team environment that has high expectations for flawless Project Execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performances, which requires the incumbent to demonstrate capacity to take workload, work with accuracy, take initiatives, be inventive and have the ability to multi-task. Working effectively within established procedures and participates in all important meetings and workshops (e.g. weekly and monthly meetings, 3D Model reviews, Constructability, Construction and Completion Sequence Reviews).
  • Strong ability to influence others who are not in his direct control to achieve Project objectives. Bring solutions and provide support but not generate “micro-management” or unnecessary works to the Team and/or the EPC-3/4 Contractor. Be inventive to bring technical and execution solutions that favor safe construction execution and transition to commissioning activities.
  • Facilitate periodic meetings with the PMT and contractors as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Construction Division Manager. Dealing with ad-hoc requests related to project operational and project logistics activities.

Your Profile

  • High School Diploma minimum, higher qualifications an advantage.
  • Trade school or industry specific courses related to Electrical and Instrumentation construction are helpful, but more and varied experience can make up for lack of formal qualifications.
  • Technical background as a discipline engineer, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Construction Superintendent, Construction Manager with solid Project Execution experience .
  • Electrical & Instrumentation Construction and experience within brownfield environments in large industrial complexes.
  • Familiarity with Scaffolding, Coatings & Insulation, Lifting & Rigging, Piping, Civil and E&I disciplines an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Project Execution, with a strong background in fabrication, construction and management of large green field and brownfield construction activities.
  • Experience with multi-cultural type Projects.
  • Experience with LNG Projects preferred.
  • Good organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP)
  • Developed coordination and planning skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organizational levels
