As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goals and objectives by developing and maintaining strong, productive working relationships with customers, and by successfully quoting, negotiating, closing and managing large commercial construction projects involving ELIS electrical distribution and control equipment and services.

Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with electrical and general contractors at all levels of their organizations
- Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with channel partners (distributors, VAR’s, OEM’s), and influencers including engineers/consultants
- Perform take-off's and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specifications for electrical distribution and control equipment and services
- Quote, negotiate, close and manage large commercial construction projects involving electrical distribution and control equipment and services
- Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin; motivate contractors to prefer GE over the competition
- Conduct technical presentations to create preference for ABB
- Provide training, joint sales calls and applications support
- Develop and utilize strong network of cross-functional internal resources (manufacturing, operations, spec engineers, Services, etc.) to maximize productivity and hit-rate
- Meet or exceed assigned goals and objectives including but not limited orders budgets
- Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
- Create and maintain accurate data base using digital sales tools including Speedi, Empower, and SFDC on opportunities; data shall include but not be limited to job name, bills-of-material, bid date, award date, ship date, status (won, lost, quoted, etc.), identity of key players (end-users, contractors, distributors, engineers, etc.)
- Utilize resources including Dodge to help proactively identify and pursue strategic opportunities
- Develop and maintain customer account plans detailing identity of key customers, players, est. total annual ED&C volume, annual GE volume, hit-rate, strength of relationship, development needs, etc
- Participate in industry and local construction organizations to build relationships
Your background
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 2 years relevant sales experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products

In this role you will be responsible to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives and implement marketing activities and support sales organization in driving sales and services for their respective products.

Your responsibilities
- Implementing the assigned area/segment product marketing strategy, including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy
- Achieving product marketing targets and budgets through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed, focusing on achievement of orders and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
- Executing annual marketing plan in conjunction with relevant Division/Product Groups, preparing business plans focused on business development for a defined market
- Coordinating market analyses with sales team members and defining appropriate forecasts and plans, evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor data, overseeing sales execution for assigned products by providing relevant materials and guidance to Sales team
- Driving sales efficiency by delivering appropriate product knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for each sales person, contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing work as per customer expectations
- Displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in their own area of responsibility, implementing and ensuring compliance with ABB Code of Conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies and processes in their assigned area

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering
- 5 years’ experience in distribution and automation
- Experience in Qatar is preferable
- Knowledge and understanding of medium voltage products, systems and their application in industries and utility segment
- Knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission networks and dedicated protection applications
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
