Electrical Engineering Head

10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering discipline in large oil & gas projects. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, industry standards/codes/practices, onshore LNG facilities. Broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (High Voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, and electrical controls) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes. Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Position is site based, located in Project Site Offices (Field Operations Center) in Ras Laffan, Qatar.
  • This position is responsible to ensure all technical activities associated with the electrical engineering discipline by the EPC contractor, and all third parties such as Kahramaa, vendors, consultants, sub-contractors etc are executed to Project’s specifications and QELNG requirements.
  • This could involve technical evaluations, including risk based evaluation of complex engineering issues, resolution of electrical related matters with significant project execution and/or commercial impact to ensure optimum outcomes that meet technical and execution expectations.
  • Major challenges for this role include (1) effectively guide EPC contractor, including vendors and subcontractors and pre-comm/comm team to produce timely deliverables to meet project milsestones (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with EPC contractor, including vendors and subcontractors to ensure delivery and execution of work scope in accordance with project specifications/requirements. (3) maintaining good relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, quality, engineering, construction) to ensure alignment of electrical work execution
