Junior Sales Marketing Manager

As a Junior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team in achieving sales targets and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing all day-to-day activities related to business development for the meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE), sport integration and future commercial business tourism activities for Convention Centre. This role involves assisting the senior sales manager in all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and after-sales support.


Responsibilities

  • Sales Support: Provide assistance to the sales and marketing team in generating leads, identifying potential clients, and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, set sales targets, and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Client Communication: Drive, develop and maintain relationships with potential clients of the Qatar National Convention Centre. Engage with clients to understand their needs, answer inquiries, and provide product/service information to drive conversions and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Presentations: Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and to showcase the services and facilities of the Centre on sales calls, at trade shows, conferences, and industry functions, and address customer requirements effectively.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage and update the sales database, track sales activities, and report on sales performance metrics to evaluate progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences to enhance sales efforts and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strategic partnerships with Qatar Foundation Members and corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining regular communication to identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Negotiations: Collaborate with senior sales staff in negotiating contracts and pricing terms, aiming to secure profitable and beneficial deals for the company.
  • After-Sales Support: Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues or concerns and coordinating with the relevant departments to resolve them promptly.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Sales and Marketing, Communication, or Hospitality.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
  • Operational knowledge of an event management computerized system – EBMS
  • Minimum 3-5 years of verifiable and relevant work experience in a similar capacity within a Meeting, Convention, Exhibition

  • Fluent in English and Arabic
