Summary About the Position: You will serve as the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for the 25th Signal Battalion, Regional Network Operations Security Center (RNOSC). Responsibilities Responsible for the establishment, implementation and oversight of the 25th Signal Battalion Cybersecurity Program for all Automated Information Systems (AIS) to include those under development. Functions on behalf of the Director or Site Manager as the point of contact for all aspects of cybersecurity and Local Area Network (LAN) security. Serves as the organization?s cybersecurity advisor concerning the LAN, and the electronic interfacing of other systems and networks. Provides advice and guidance regarding security aspects of processing, storage, retrieval, transmission, and access concerning classified and unclassified information. Serves on committees and workgroups as automation and transmission security advisor, ensuring adherence to DoD, Dept. of Army, U.S. Forces Afghanistan, Regional Cyber Center South West Asia and command policy relating to security of information. U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement. Locality pay does not apply in the overseas area. Employees who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions. This is a Career Program (CP) 34 position. The initial length of this unaccompanied overseas tour is 12 months with possible extensions up to five (5) years.
