Role Objective:

The incumbent will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The job holder will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure, and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. The job holder will assist the project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and planning phases of standard Project Management Methodology. The incumbent will support in managing the initiation, planning, design, implementation and maintenance phases of internal infrastructure related projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support in administration of Bank’s computer systems (Windows and Virtual environment) to ensure uninterrupted availability to support Bank’s functions.
• Support in installation of new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, and settings, directories in accordance with standards and project /operational requirements along with virtual infrastructure.
• Ensure maintenance of documentation for managing systems including their recovery in the case of disasters.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve system related incidents and problems.
• Assist IT Management in planning and budgeting for Bank’s computer systems.
• Assist in capacity planning and management, configuration management, change management and release management.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage bank’s resources and provide economies of scale.
• Apply security standards as per IT Security team.
• Provide Tier III/other support per request from various business units. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted business units.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary as per IT Security.
• Upgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
• Apply security standards on cloud infrastructure.
• Handle migration of legacy infrastructure to virtualized infrastructure.
• Support in managing Microsoft applications such as Active directory, Exchange Online, Office 365, MS SQL, IIS, Windows Servers, ADFS, System Center and related components.
• Support in managing converged infrastructure.
• Support and manage the PKI solution of the environment.
• Ensure timely preparation of MIS /periodic reporting in relation to Infrastructure unit, as advised, for management review.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree in Management any other related discipline from a recognized university.
• 05-08 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
• Significant experience in supporting different Infrastructure environment including Converged Infrastructure, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, UCS, VMware/Hyper-V and Microsoft.
• Significant experience handling Enterprise Microsoft environment, O365, Active Directory, Group policy, MS Exchange.
• Significant experience of integration and supporting various banking systems and services hosted on Windows platform.
• Strong skills in administering and troubleshooting computer systems deployed in converged infrastructure.
• Ability to perform Tier-III Support.
• Knowledge of ISO Standards and Best practice frameworks ITIL, etc.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, data storage and communications
• Ability to analyze system related issues and resolve them within defined SLA terms
• Strong understanding of implementation in large production-critical environment, preferably covering Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft products (AD, DNS, DHCP, and System Center), Office 365, Exchange hybrid and DELLEMC systems.
• Strong understanding and administration knowledge of Kaspersky Endpoint Management, SCCM / SCOM, Domain Hosting and DNS Management.
• Strong understanding and administration knowledge of SQL Management, Azure ATP and Public Key Infrastructure.
