Job Title: Assistant Manufacturing Manager - BUL Factory
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Main purpose of the role:
- Leading the manufacturing team and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations as well as maintaining highest standards of safety, health & environment, quality, and service levels at the right cost.
- The candidate will be a key member of the site leadership team. He/She will also promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement using the Unilever manufacturing system (UMS) tools and contribute actively to the development and wellbeing of the factory team.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure complete compliance to the Company’s Safety, Health and Environment policies and standards.
- Ensure high quality standards and agreed operational performance targets are met.
- Manage the manufacturing operations and lead daily production process improvements.
- Manage and improve conversion costs through cost improvement programmes and Kaizens.
- Ensure continuous skill and competency development of shopfloor employees and team leaders.
- Ability to lead, motivate and coach a team of operators and team leaders to achieve high performance results.
- Manage the site labour availability, efficiency, and commitment to high performance.
- Drive UMS activities in the plant and lead the Autonomous Maintenance Pillar.
- Chair the daily factory production meeting.
- Agree an annual budget for production with the factory manager and ensure it is met.
- Ensure accurate and timely measurement and reporting of factory performance.
- Drive the implementation of the Factory Operating System
- Support and actively promote a culture of teamwork, achievement, and continuous improvement in BUL.
- To demonstrate visible leadership in the shopfloor.
- To manage employee relations to ensure high engagement levels.
- Implement HR policies and procedures.
- Support implementation of innovation within the factory and deliver to agreed ramp up plans.
- Manage and improve deployment of resources, people budgets and assets, to comply with cost and financial targets.

Relevant Experience/ Years Of Experience
- People management experience with large teams or team of teams with experience of leading teams of blue collars.
- +3 Years’ experience with proven track record in relevant field.
- Manufacturing Excellence program knowledge is a must.
