We source our flowers daily from the best growers and farmers around the world to create one of a kind stunning arrangements and plants that fit every occasion. We partner with local and international brands to offer a wide range of gifts including chocolate, perfumes, cakes and more, coupled with our arrangements to create the perfect gift.Operating in 36 cities in nine countries across the MENA region and London, UK, we guarantee same-day delivery across the board through our own refrigerated fleet to ensure our arrangements arrive fresh to the customer.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure local presentation for all categories aligns with the central plan.
- Fill gaps within categories locally to optimize product offerings.
- Optimize company product categories and displays for increased sales and marketing effectiveness.
- Produce, adapt, and advise on display and marketing materials as needed.
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to improve pricing and service quality.
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands.
- Carry out procurement processes, including order placement, payment, and documentation.
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure inventory sustainability.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders for new products in a timely manner.
- Draft reports to enhance sales and communicate information about new products and changes.
- Develop strategies and tools to improve category performance and manage non-performing products.
- Create exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
- Adjust strategies and materials to improve sales in new target markets.
- Take responsibility for budget development and revenue generation within the categories.
- Lead and motivate the team, delegate tasks, and support individual efficiencies.
- Foster a loyal and transparent culture within the category department.
- Provide training on successful buying and online merchandising.
- Work collaboratively to understand product trends, identify sales opportunities, and analyze competitor products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to determine pricing models and promotional activities.
- Utilize customer research information to guide brand/category management decisions.
- Coordinate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories.
- Collaborate with central Category Managers to complete the range assortment within the local market.
- Align with global guidelines, strategies, and brand standards.
- Work together to develop and implement assortment plans.
- Share market insights, customer preferences, and emerging trends.
- Coordinate promotional activities for consistent messaging and offers.
- Collaborate on new product introductions, considering local market needs.
- Contribute to pricing strategy discussions and adjustments.
- Provide regular updates on category performance and market insights.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A BSc degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
- 5-7 years of category management experience.
- Proven experience as a category manager or similar roleIn-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes
- Hands-on experience with analyzing big data and making forecasts
- An excellent grasp of spatial, design, and promotional planning.
- Solid knowledge of basic computer operations.
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
- Ability to think from a consumer perspective and understand buying behavior.
