Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Doha, Qatar with H COM Services and Contracting as a Telecommunications Technician. The Telecommunications Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications systems including copper, fiber optic, and wireless networks. This role also involves configuring and troubleshooting network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls, and resolving network connectivity and performance issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications systems including fiber, copper, and wireless networks
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networking equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls
- Ability to terminate and test different types of network cabling, including copper and fiber optic
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving network connectivity and performance issues
- Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other professionals
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
