JOB SUMMARY:


The Manager – Infrastructure Systems Services manages Wintel, Virtualization, Cloud, Unix, DBA, Storage and Backup. The incumbent plans the evaluation, implementation, maintenance and utilization of the organizational systems, hardware, operating system, virtualization, cloud and storage infrastructure. The post holder develops and implements the medium-term strategy planning of IT hardware and software requirements, and advises management of new technology trends to improve the services delivered to end users. The Manager ensures optimum system configuration and up-to-date, easy to access documentation of all related hardware and software to minimize the risk of disasters.

The incumbent actively performs all managerial activities namely managing Infrastructure Systems Team, Project Management, Budgeting, Procurement, Managing Ticketing System to maintain the required SLA etc. for Infrastructure Operations.


KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provides recommendation for systems hardware and software for the entire organization (Corporate and Clinical) and supports in acquiring it.
  • Leads, monitors and evaluates the System Operations team, processes, procedures and various products used to meet the growing needs of business.
  • Monitors SLA with stakeholders and vendors and recommends corrective preventive actions.
  • Manages and monitors the day-to-day systems technical activities.
  • Manages staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented
  • Develops and builds a Systems team (Windows, VMware, Cloud, UNIX, Storage, DBA and Backup) that can scale with the needs of the business.
  • Builds workflows and procedures for the team based on an industry standard framework (ITIL, COBIT, etc.)
  • Prepares and reviews operational reports and/or project progress reports to determine system success and failures.
  • Provides technical guidance and support for the development and/or troubleshooting of systems.
  • Works closely with other departments to streamline processes in support of the business.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to the Systems Operations team.
  • Monitors documentation and compliance of processes and protocols for systems support and integration.
  • Manages the constant improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Manages evaluation, installation and maintenance of hardware, operating systems and software.
  • Allocates necessary resources required for the development and integration of newly requested applications.
  • Participates in evaluations and recommendations related to systems hardware throughout the organization and assists in the acquisition of such tools.
  • Monitors service level agreements and overall quality of deliverables and services.
  • Generates analysis report for new systems, solutions and strategies and assesses the resultant impact on existing systems.
  • Monitors SLAs with IT vendors and contractors and ensure compliance from all involved.
  • Ensures rapid resolution of faults and effective maintenance of systems in coordination with IT vendors and contractors.
  • Designs, develops, implements and coordinates systems, policies and procedures
  • Develops requirements, outlines, budgets, and schedulers for information technology projects.
  • Participates in large-scale development initiatives including product selection and implementation, Research and recommends optimal design criteria and best utilization of resources.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.


QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE


Education

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering, computer science, information systems, or Computer Applications or related field.


Experience

  • 15+ years in systems design, implementation, troubleshooting including 5+ years progressive managerial experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure and systems and designing architecture solutions to meet strategic objectives.
  • Achieved significant savings, including in infrastructure costs.
  • Team leader who inspires and motivates staff and cultivates collaboration with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Highly proficient at change and project management, disaster recovery, business continuity and cyber security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure as a service (IaaS) with aptitude for resolving business challenges through technical innovation.
  • Supervised disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives and participated in annual internal and external data security audits
  • Experience in MS Azure, MS M 365 Hybrid environment, Azure AD including support for Single Sign.
