Primary Purpose Of Job
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for planning, design, and enhancement of the strategic and on-going CCTV and
Access Control deployments in the QatarEnergy regions. The focus will be on providing robust, highly available,
responsive, secure, and scalable CCTV and Access Control environment while minimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI) by deploying state of the art technologies, best practices, policies, processes,
and procedures.
As a subject matter expert, the candidate is also expected to provide technical consultancy to ICT (Information
Communication & Technology) management and staff while providing 2nd & 3rd level support for technicians during and
after office hours.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in related field, including at least 5 years of technical experience with the
integration, installation operation and maintenance of CCTV systems, electronic access control devices (readers and
strikes) and intrusion detection equipment.
- A strong set of architectural skills and expertise within the infrastructure environment of a data center, including capacity
planning, performance analysis, and the integration of systems management.
- Must have CCTV system background in setup, operation, and integration of CCTV systems and expertise in software and
hardware of analog and digital video cameras, network storage, archive, and set up and integration of assessment systems
which use correlation of video assessment and alarms with intrusion detection system (IDS) and access control system
(ACS) alarms.
- Must be familiar with government regulations, secure networks, and characteristics and limitations of video assessment
systems.
- Operate and maintain the existing QatarEnergy access control, intrusion detection, CCTV systems and equipment
distributed across QatarEnergy regions.
- Monitor, manage and troubleshoot CCTV/ACS environment.
- Must have thorough technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Windows Servers OS.
- Experience in working with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (previously known as SCCM) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of storage technologies like SAN and NAS.
- A desirable understanding of the security practices that are utilized in the industry concerning file systems, identity
management, server hardening, and vulnerabilities.
- Familiar with Project Management and Change Management processes.
- Familiar with Contracts administration.
- License management and report generation on utilization.
- Liaison with project team on assessing requirements and plan capacity accordingly.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or in a related Engineering field or Management in Information Systems.
- Relevant Industry leading Certifications in CCTV/ACS systems will be an added advantage.
