Business Development Manager

Your role would be to develop the branch, by seeking out new opportunities to increase regional brand awareness and profitability. You’ll work closely with our Regional Manager based in Dubai but day to day you’ll have a lot of flexibility and autonomy.

You will likely have close ties to the British ex-pat community and be able to ‘fly the flag’. We are proud of our British heritage, and you will know how to use this to your advantage in a region that values quality and integrity.

Whilst you will focus mainly on business development there is an element of being a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ to the position, as you’ll need to wear many hats. Your responsibilities would include:

·      Development

o  Seeking out new clients, networking and establishing corporate partnerships

o  Raising awareness and creating brand confidence in this new market

o  Identifying new revenue streams from complementary services

·      Management

o  Establishing and nurturing local supplier relationships

o  Ensuring a smooth-running office

o  Setting up systems and processes to ensure a seamless service for our customers

·      Reporting

o  Weekly and monthly management reports to the Regional Manager

o  Communicating changes in rules and procedures within Qatar

We would expect you to be from a services background, so you will understand the importance of meeting client expectations. Our business thrives on word-of-mouth recommendations and looking after our existing corporate clients, so it is essential that we don’t let anyone down. You will know how to make that happen systematically.

Your skill set is likely to include:

·      Excellent spoken & written English

·      Can communicate with ease

·      Pro-active and resourceful nature

·      Impressive attention to detail

·      High level of organisational skills

·      Familiar with working to KPIs

·      Sales and marketing experience within a service-based industry

·      Excellent people-skills with a genuine passion to receive and deliver quality customer service

You will have been living in Doha for at least 2 years, as familiarity with the way business works specifically in Qatar is essential. You may have gained this experience either directly through employment or by virtue of moving to the region as a dependent partner. Your experience for the role may have been gained from your life before becoming an expat.

Reporting directly to our Regional Manager, you will be a key member of our team, and helping to shape the future of our business, securing valuable repeat custom.

The role is initially part-time and has the potential to grow as the business grows. You can organise your working hours around other commitments such as childcare or family obligations and flexibility to work from home is provided, although you would need to regularly attend the office to effectively manage the business.
