Summary

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computer Science/ICT Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating students in iGCSE and iA-Level courses, fostering their understanding and application of computer science and information and communication technology concepts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, possess strong subject knowledge, and demonstrate an ability to engage and inspire students to excel in this field.

Role

As a Computer Science/ICT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that align with the international iGCSE and iA-Level curricula and meet the diverse learning needs of our students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess students’ progress, and provide support and guidance for their academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Computer Science and ICT, following the international iGCSE and iA-Level curricula guidelines
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to achieve their full potential
• Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and share best practices for teaching iGCSE and iA-Level courses
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child’s progress and address any concerns
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence
• Assist with the organization and supervision of extracurricular activities and clubs related to Computer Science and ICT, as needed

Package

Annual package starting from $50,000.00 inclusive of:

• Salary
• Housing

In addition, the school will provide:

• Annual return fair to country of origin
• 30 calendar days paid leave + official holidays

Candidate Preference

• Are based in Qatar
• British English as a their first language
• Have held a similar position at a British curriculum school (ideally within the United Kingdom or GCC)
