Role Overview
The Assistant System Administrator will be responsible for supporting and managing the organization’s IT systems. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all system components including servers and software applications. In addition to this system tasks, the Assistant System Administrator is expected to provide comprehensive IT support to end users.
Role Responsibilities
- Server Management: Installation & configuration, Maintenance and Monitoring.
- User management: Account management in Active directory and O365.
- Security Management: Access control, Incident Response and Backup and Recovery.
- Software Deployment.
- Manage SCCM server.
- Assist the system specialist.
- Understand the system policies and ensure they are enforced.
- Maintain the datacentres including the UPS’ and Air-conditioner health check.
- Manage the ServiceDesk.
- Provide technical support to the end users.
- Troubleshoot network and systems issues.
- Ensure all computers are installed with relevant software and drivers.
- Maintain the IT asset master.
- Resolving IT request Tickets.
- Preparing and configuring computers.
- User training: provide training to end users as required.
- Team Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other IT staffs and departments to support organizational goals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
- 3-5 years related experience
- Microsoft Server Management
- Microsoft Configuration Manager
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Linux (preferably SUSE)
- VMware vSphere
- Backup Systems
- Endpoint protection systems
- Server Hardware

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
