What’s the job?

As a Dry Cleaner you are responsible to ensure that laundry service, required by our guest is done on time and with the highest possible standards. Your day-to-day

• Labels items upon receipt and includes cleaning instructions with items.
• Removes spots and stains using appropriate solvents, chemicals, detergents, or other cleaning agents.
• Operates dry cleaning machines, washers, and dryers.
• Cleans, presses, irons, and steams clothing and other fabric items.
• Hangs or folds items when cleaning process is complete.
• Labels items when ready for pickup or delivery.
• Inspects machinery and performs maintenance when necessary.
• Check and test garments for color fastening.
• Refill chemicals, clean filters and service the machines as needed.
• Be fully conversant with fire and safety procedures and adhere to them.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Check for any damage on received laundry prior to dry cleaning process
• Change padding on machines as needed and assist and train other laundry colleagues in the process of dry cleaning
  
  

What We Need From You:

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Similar experience in a luxury hotel.
• A business-related degree or equivalent.
• Experience in effective learning and development methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent command of written and spoken English & Arabic.
• Additional language is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Result-oriented and self-motivated along with a positive attitude.
• Ability to read customer instructions regarding requested cleaning methods and stain removal.
• Ability to read and follow manuals for use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to operate washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning equipment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to learn software used to prepare cleaning tickets.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Prolonged periods of standing and working in hot, humid environment.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time to load and unload items.
