Facility Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical

Job Purpose

The Facility Engineer position requires a solid background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess bilingual skills, enabling effective communication in a multilingual environment.

Reporting To: Senior FM Engineer

Department: Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of facility infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maintain the integrity and functionality of facility equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for repair and maintenance services, ensuring timely completion and quality workmanship
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies and breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize downtime
  • Manage facility projects, including renovations, upgrades, and expansions, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion
  • Maintain accurate records of facility maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and expenditures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and manage facility utility consumption, implementing energy-saving initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs

Qualifications And Experience

  • Holds a full-time Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience, including 3 years managing large projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries
  • Good professional knowledge of electromechanical systems (electricity and current), light, mechanics
  • Preferably certified by QCDD and Class B grade from KAHRAMAA / the concerned authorities
  • Good understanding of HSEQ Management
  • Arabic and English languages, spoken and written proficiency is a must
