Crew Hotels & Allowances Specialist (Qatari Nationals)

About the role:

 

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as a Crew Hotels & Allowances Specialist to be based in Doha, Qatar.

 

As a Crew Hotels & Allowances Specialist you will be responsible for managing the start to finish contracting process for Crew hotels and transportation services as well as overseeing timely delivery of the monthly Crew variable allowance cycle.

 

 Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • Oversee the entire contracting process from initial purchase enquiry through to final contract sign-off. This includes working with key stakeholders, Legal and Procurement teams, to prepare the draft contract in line with Qatar Airways policies and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the entire process of variable crew allowance computation for all deck and cabin crew on a monthly basis, in co-ordination with key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and rigorous adherence to internal processes.
  • Using data analysis and working closing with key operational stakeholders and planning teams, identify potential changes to crew room requirements and create tactical and strategic plans to mitigate potential risks to Qatar Airways operations.
  • Ensure all processes, risk registers, policies and data privacy records for your respective activities are updated in a timely manner and records are retained for potential review or audit purposes.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to ensure all targets and deliverables are met.
  • Prepare business plans and potential cost savings strategies, or opportunities for continuous improvement or process changes, which could have a beneficial impact on Qatar Airways operations.

Qualifications

About you

 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Relevant College or University qualifications to minimum Bachelor's level .
  • Knowledge and experience in procurement and contracting process.
  • Experience of working with suppliers and stakeholders in an aviation setting would be advantageous.
  • Advanced skills in MS office – particularly Excel, with excellent knowledge of working with data and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of airline operations, particularly Flight Operations would be advantageous.
  • Strong customer service orientation, organized, extremely detail oriented and possess strong follow up skills.
  • Highly developed planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
