Cargo Operations Officer- Tehran, Iran

As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Cargo Operations Team in Tehran, Iran as a Cargo Operations Officer.

The role duties and responsibilities includes:

  • Monitor smooth cargo operations at the station through close coordination with the GHA’s and staff within the station/region.
  • Continuously monitor and develop adherence to regulations as outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure strict compliance to IATA regulations for effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo whilst reducing operation costs involved.
  • Maintain on time performance or aircraft operations and ensure no delays occur due to ground operations, throughout the delegate station/region.
  • Ensure smooth interface from Sales/GSA to GHA including booking priorities, clear FBL instruction and priorities are given to GHAs, special cargo is handled correctly and pre-alerts sent.
  • Coordinate with customer service/ cargo claims department at Head Office and forward all necessary claim documents, handle discrepancies and all administrative issues related to the station/ region.
  • Ensure all safety and security incidents are thoroughly investigated through to root cause analysis and reported within defined timeframes. 
  • Implement and developed strategies to enhance services offered whist reducing operational unit costs incurred in the station/region. 
  • Liaise w9th local government/ customs authorities for obtaining permission; to comply with regulatory issues related to cargo operations. 
  • Assist on-board loadmaster in offloading and loading activities of aircraft whenever required. 
  • Conduct station audits/inspection checks in line with HQ guidelines on specific areas of the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Qualification with at least 4 years of job related experience within air freight industry. 
  • Previous supervisory experience as well as the ability to delegate, set clear directions, motivate staff and foster team work.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse and ramp handling, Dangerous Goods regulations, live animal regulations, IATA and perishable cargo handling.
  • Load control and previous experience with loading of freighter aircraft.
