This role will be responsible for leading a team of Merchandisers. Communicates company goals, and deadlines to the team. Motivates team members and assesses performance and provides help to his/her Superior, by keeping up to date team performance. Communicates concerns and policies to Merchandiser Manager and team members.
- Act as a reliever for Merchandising Manager to support team and performs management duties.
- Execute and manages inventories and stock, including keeping detailed records of inventory use and sales, and advising supervisor on every necessary concern i.e. ordering where necessary
- Encourage team members while communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks
- Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance
- Communicates deadlines and sales goals to team members · Conducts team meetings if necessary to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
- Responsible for assessing the outlets to develop/fabricate design for proper shelving/measurements as per principal standards.
- Team leaders will also work on display executions and routes where the load is high. They need to be in market daily with any one merchandiser
- Proper coordination and alignment with the M. Manager.
- Responsible for on-the-job training, i.e., Expiry Tracking, display based on planogram, shelving, FIFO (date code), time management, product life cycle, etc.
- Initiate staff disciplinary management and align next line management
- Monitoring individual performance
- Ensure that merchandiser's basic work related issues are addressed and assisted properly per business guidelines and / or policy
- Ensure that KPIs are cascaded to all Merchandisers within his purview and track progress
- Participates in creating innovation culture based on trade/competition activities in the market.
- Ensuring route coverage as per journey plan. Any deviation affecting the operational guidelines will be escalated to the next line management.
- Externally, the role will be working closely with customers mainly on assigned key accounts while managing assigned staff to negotiate space for shelf/display, product quantity/volume, specific POS materials and frequency and type of support.
Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree ·
- With valid GCC driver's license
- 3-5 years of work experience in FMCG business ·
- Exposure in similar industry would be highly preferred
- Proven track record in leading a team of sales in similar field ·
- Can work with minimum supervision ·
- Team player ·
- Ability to perform basic computer skills and handheld devices for reporting
