Job Summary:

The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the Arab Bank’s data architecture. This includes creating data models, ensuring data quality, developing data management strategies, and ensuring that the data infrastructure aligns with the Arab bank’s business goals and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strategic mindset.

Experience:

-Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role.

-Extensive experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases).

-Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Informatica).

-Hands on experience with big data technologies- On Prem & Cloud

-Around 8-10 years of Experience in a similar role

Technical Skillsets & qualifications:

-Strong proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing

-Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

-Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, or Scala.

-Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

-Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.

-Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Flink).

-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

-Certification in data management or architecture (e.g., CDMP, TOGAF).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

-Design and implement scalable, robust, and flexible data architectures that meet the business requirements and technical needs of the organization both on Prem and Cloud

- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, metadata, and data dictionaries.

-Create and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.

-Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across different systems and platforms.

-Establish and enforce data governance policies, procedures, and standards.

-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal data security policies.

-Evaluate and select appropriate data management tools, technologies, and platforms.

-Oversee the implementation and integration of new data solutions.

-Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

-Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.

-Monitor and optimize the performance of data architectures and systems.

-Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

-Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, processes, and workflows.

-Generate reports and dashboards to communicate data architecture performance and metrics to stakeholders.
