The Bulk Plant Supervisor plays a crucial role in the oil and gas industry, overseeing the operations of bulk plants to ensure efficient and safe handling of materials. This position involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing processes to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations at cement and acid blending plants, ensuring accurate material preparation and timely dispatch.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure process continuity.
- Maintain precise records of blending activities, inventory levels, and product quality.
- Oversee inventory levels of cement, acid, and other chemicals; control material waste and ensure operational readiness.
- Manage spare parts inventory in a safe, organized, and accessible manner.
- Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of equipment, including silos and pressure relief valves.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations pertaining to bulk plant operations.
- Participate in service quality meetings with customers and execute action plans to improve performance.
Education:
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Certifications:
- Certifications in operational safety or bulk material handling are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6–8 years in bulk plant operations or a related field.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining cement and acid blending plant equipment is preferred.
Skills
- In-depth understanding of bulk material handling and inventory management.
- Experience in operating Jereh Unit
- Technical proficiency in plant equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and quality control in oilfield services.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software for inventory and operations management.
