Founded in 1995 by Mikhael Gharios, Mount Lebanon Hospital – Gharios Medical Center was built in response to a growing regional need for quality healthcare services and a founder’s vision. MLH offers the latest in medical technology, combined with the utmost concern and vision for patient care and comfort.
MLH, a 250-bed hospital, with around 650 employees, provides physicians and patients with the latest in technological innovations in equipment and machinery designed for the diagnosis and treatment of the most acute clinical conditions.

MLH provides its patients with a wide panel of Oncology diagnostic tools and a comprehensive treatment platform. MLH has completed its panel with the introduction of the first PET CT in the Middle East, thus utilizing state of the art technology to provide healthcare excellence. In addition to a highly sophisticated surgery service, MLH has augmented its services through a solid spectrum of Critical Care Units, manifested in a well-designed, state of the art Emergency Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Surgery Unit, Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory, all of which are professionally and technologically equipped to respond and attend to all life threatening situations. Furthermore, MLH has added to its medical spectrum a broad range of specialised units in various fields such as a Psychiatry Unit, Fertility, Renal Dialysis, Otolaryngology, Ophtalmology, Diabetes and Epilepsy.

MLH is committed to provide continuing education programs through its School of Nursing that is committed to preparing nursing practitioners for the provision of quality nursing care for a diverse community.

MLH architecture is carefully designed: two buildings of eleven levels each with elegantly designed rooms, share the 30,000 sqm surface, offering a truly human feeling with the simplicity of the overall space organization. The use of artificial lights is limited to its strict minimum; large skylights provide daytime illumination to the hall, the two underground patios, the laboratory and the operating theaters. The lobbies are wide and spacious with indoor patios, available parking facilities; a cozy cafeteria and an ATM are at the disposal of the visitors. A 200 seat Conference Room, elegantly furnished and equipped with top of the line computerized audio-visuals, is utilized for medical seminars, in-house trainings, educational sessions, general assemblies and even entertainment events.
