Hiring: Cost Control Specialist | Doha, Qatar
Join a major EPC project in Qatar and play a key role in cost estimation, change order management, forecasting, and project controls throughout the EPC phase.
Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract
️ Work Schedule: 100% Onshore
Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
Working Days: 6 Days per Week
⏰ Working Hours: 8-10 Hours per Day
Job Purpose
The Cost Control Specialist will lead change order cost estimation, negotiation, forecasting, and reporting activities throughout the EPC project lifecycle. The role is responsible for ensuring project cost estimates remain accurate, up to date, and aligned with project schedules while supporting effective project controls and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead cost estimation, cost control, and change order management activities.
✅ Review and validate contractor estimates to ensure contractual compliance.
✅ Develop Company estimates and maintain auditable documentation trails.
✅ Monitor EPC contractor performance in cost control, progress measurement, and schedule control.
✅ Coordinate project cost forecasting, schedule analysis, and reporting.
✅ Support development of Class III Cost Estimates and bid check estimates.
✅ Assess cost and schedule impacts of proposed project changes.
✅ Prepare monthly cost reports and analyze project control trends.
✅ Participate in contracting strategy workshops by developing cost/schedule-driven scenarios.
✅ Negotiate change orders on behalf of the Company throughout EPC contract execution.
Requirements
Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business Management/Administration, Commercial Discipline, or related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in cost estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
• Strong experience validating contractor estimates and developing cost reports.
• Experience working on Brownfield Projects.
• Proven experience in EPC project environments.
• Strong understanding of cost and schedule drivers, forecasting, and change management.

• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and project control applications.
