Job Summary
The Senior Advisor, Product Development and Market Structure leads the issuer development pillar of Product & Market Development strategy and contributes to the exchange's liquidity and market structure agenda. On the product side, the role is responsible for designing, structuring, and executing the launch of new financial products on the exchange, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), closed-ended funds, bonds, sukuk, and at a later stage, derivatives. Alongside this, the role takes a leading analytical role in developing liquidity and market structure ideas for the PMD team, ensuring that product decisions and market structure measures reinforce one another. The position provides technical leadership in financial product structures and exchange product implementation, oversees product-focused business development managers, and acts as the execution lead for product development initiatives, ensuring new products are successfully designed, approved, and launched through effective coordination across internal departments, regulators, and market participants.
Roles And Responsibilities
Lead the development and launch of new exchange-traded products, including ETFs, REITs, bonds, sukuk, closed-end funds, and derivatives. Develop product strategies and roadmaps aligned with QSE's growth and market diversification objectives. Drive market structure and liquidity initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance trading activity and investor participation. Provide technical expertise in financial product structuring, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Lead end-to-end product launch execution, coordinating with internal departments, regulators, and market participants. Establish product governance frameworks, develop business cases, and monitor product performance to support continuous improvement. Build and maintain relationships with asset managers, investment banks, issuers, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders. Lead and mentor product-focused business development teams while supporting strategic market development initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent is highly desirable.15–20 years of experience in capital markets, financial product development, or exchange product management. Strong expertise in exchange-traded products, including ETFs, REITs, derivatives, bonds, and sukuk. Experience in market structure, liquidity enhancement, trading, or financial market infrastructure. Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage complex product development initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
