About the Role We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to join a major Buildings and Infrastructure project. Role & Responsibilities • Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations. • Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements. • Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets. • Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection. • Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations). • Measure work done when required. • Verification & routine checks of control points and benchmarks • Recording of initial and final levels of works • Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings. Review of 'as-built' record drawings. • Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative. • Review drawings and documents related to the works • Knowledge of survey terminology and descriptive materials including maps, plats drawings and specifications. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role • Minimum 5 years’ Middle East experience • Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GPS equipment. • Good oral and written communication skills in English. • Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry preferred. • Qatar project experience preferred • Ability to communicate clearly with site teams and management.
