Hiring: Head of Project Engineering (Start-Up Assistance) – LNG Mega Project
Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar (Site Office)

Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
Work Schedule: 100% Onshore | 6 Days/Week | 8–10 Hours/Day
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Project Engineering (Start-Up Assistance) to lead the Start-Up Assistance (SUA) function for a major LNG expansion project in Qatar. This critical leadership role will ensure the safe, efficient, and successful transition of facilities from construction and commissioning into stable operations.
The successful candidate will act as the primary interface between Operations, Project Management Teams, EPC Contractors, Vendors, and Licensors, driving start-up readiness, technical assurance, operational preparedness, and seamless handover to Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Start-Up Assistance (SUA) program for LNG facilities.
Ensure safe execution of all activities in compliance with HSE standards and project requirements.
Serve as the focal point between Company’s Operations Expansion & Start-Up Team, PMT, and Contractors.
Coordinate Operation Readiness Plan (ORP) deliverables and Start-Up Assistance resources.
Drive mobilization of personnel, equipment, tools, materials, spares, and vendor support.
Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, contingency planning, and risk mitigation during start-up.
Monitor action registers and completion of operational readiness deliverables.
Oversee defect management, warranty processes, punch lists, E-ITRs, and performance guarantee testing.
Ensure smooth transition and final handover from project execution to Operations.

Qualifications
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
Experience Required
✔ Minimum 10 years of experience across engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, or start-up activities within large Oil & Gas projects.
✔ Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
✔ Strong experience supporting plant start-up and operations readiness.
✔ Experience working with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, or service companies.
