We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel
/ Legal Consultant to provide immediate legal support during a period of
increased workload and complex business activities. The successful candidate
will support the Legal Department in managing high-value, time-sensitive legal
matters across corporate, commercial, real estate, construction, procurement,
tendering, litigation, and regulatory functions.
The role requires an independent legal professional capable
of delivering practical, risk-based advice, reviewing complex agreements,
supporting dispute management, and advising senior management on critical legal
matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, consultancy, service, construction, leasing, licensing, settlement, and corporate agreements.
- Identify legal and commercial risks, including indemnities, liabilities, termination clauses, payment risks, and dispute resolution provisions.
- Prepare legal opinions, risk assessments, and management recommendations.
- Provide legal guidance on contractual, regulatory, and governance matters.
- Review tender documents, RFPs, bid submissions, PPP documentation, and concession agreements.
- Identify compliance gaps, contractual risks, and authority-related obligations.
- Support management with legal clarification requests and risk reports.
- Assist project teams throughout tender and contract award stages.
- Review pleadings, legal notices, expert reports, court submissions, and arbitration documents.
- Assess claims, counterclaims, settlement opportunities, and litigation risks.
- Coordinate with external law firms and legal advisors.
- Support legal strategy development and dispute management activities.
- Conduct detailed legal risk assessments for strategic business decisions.
- Provide executive-level legal advice and recommendations.
- Ensure legal compliance across departments and business units.
- Support legal governance and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Assist in prioritizing and managing legal matters across the organization.
- Maintain legal trackers, reporting mechanisms, and documentation controls.
- Support external counsel management and legal cost-control initiatives.
- Provide secondary review of complex legal matters and transactions.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
- Master's Degree in Law (LLM) is an advantage.
- Minimum 8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a reputable law firm, preferably international or regional firms.

- Previous experience with developers, government-related entities, PPP projects, or large corporate groups is highly preferred.
- Experience using legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted contract review, legal research, and document analysis.
- Previous in-house legal experience within a developer, public company, government entity, or large corporate organization.
- Experience implementing technology-assisted legal workflows and reporting systems.
